Sound Healing
Music has always been an integral part of Anna's life; a very special and powerful blessing that she invites into every day - one that has supported and comforted her continually and shared some of her most memorable moments. Perhaps, then, it is obvious why she would describe music as being like a life-long friend.
In 2001, after a particular traumatic period, Anna was introduced to sound and song therapy and there began a new relationship with herself and her voice. In a very supportive and non - judgemental environment, she was encouraged to reconnect with the creativity of her authentic sound. In doing so, she not only rediscovered her passion for singing but also began to appreciate the incredibly healing and transformational effect music and sound can have on the mind, body and spirit.
It became her understanding that we are all vibrational beings and that every cell in the body vibrates at an optimum frequency for good health. It made so much sense to her to realise how sound healing can help restore our natural harmony and how, when we sound, we are not only releasing emotion but also giving ourselves a “sonic massage”. So now, She also learnt the different vowel sounds that resonate with each chakra (energy centre) in the body and how we can all use them as a way to re - energise and relax. There are many variations but ones Anna often uses are:

- Sacral (about four inches above the root): Oh – as in Orange
- Solar Plexus (the stomach area): Eh – as in Energy
- Heart: Ah as in Amen
- Throat: Ooo – as in Moon
- Third Eye (between the two eyes): Eee – as in Easy
- Crown (inside the top of the head) Aum or Om
